Florio scrie:"The unoccupied 40ft yacht was found days later with its life raft still on board".
Fireste.

Man sets sail using iPad for navigation, crashes into ferry when wifi disappears
David Carlin, 34, thought it would be a good idea to set sail in his boat using just his iPad for navigation (Picture: RNLI-Cleethorpes)
A man decided it would be a good idea to set sail in his Second World War boat with just his iPad as navigation.
David Carlin, 34, didn’t last that long though because soon after, he crashed into a ferry after his wifi connection disappeared.
The 34-year-old accidentally navigated the 50ft wooden Peggotty, which did not even have a compass, into the main shipping lane of the Humber Estuary during dense fog and then crashed into a cargo ferry last May.

Mr Carlin and his wife had been trying to sell the vessel
His vessel sunk within half an hour and Mr Carlin, a pilot with Associated British Ports, was forced to put out a Mayday call.
Mr Carlin and his passenger had been relying on a navigation app on an iPad when the collision occurred.
Now, he has been fined £3,000 for breaching maritime laws and suspended from his job.
According to The Sun, Mr Carlin was on his way from Grimsby to Hull to get a survey done of the vessel because he and his wife Hannah wanted to sell it.
Gwen Lancaster, of the Maritime & Coastguard Agency’s Hull Marine Office, said: ‘I am surprised this collision, which could easily have resulted in far worse consequences, occurred in the first place.
‘Both vessels were under the command of experienced professional captains who should have known better.’

Superb:
Peggotty’s skipper held an STCW II/210 unlimited master’s certificate. He had been employed as a pilot
on the Humber since August 2014, and was authorised to complete acts of pilotage on vessels with
draughts of less than 7 metres.

S-a dat primul verdict in cazul Cheeki Rafiki:
- seful scolii vinovat of failing to ensure the safety of a boat which capsized in the Atlantic with the loss of four lives

C-asa-i in tenis!

One dead and two still missing after vessels collide in Sussex
A BODY has been found by search and rescue teams after a suspected boat crash in the English Channel off Shoreham, police have confirmed.
Search and rescue teams are still looking for two missing people after the boat capsized
One man has died and two more are still missing after two vessels collided off Shoreham in West Sussex in the early hours of Sunday morning.
One man has been rescued and taken to hospital after being found in the water by fishermen.
Another survivor was reportedly found washed up on the shore nearby.
One of the boats involved was said to have been manned by a Romanian crew.
A fleet of lifeboats and two coastguard helicopters have been sent as part of a maor search operation to find survivors.
Other boats in the area are also helping with the rescue operation, the Shoreham lifeboat said on Twitter.
The rescued sailor, a 45-year-old man from London, was found clinging to a bouy by a fishing vessel two miles from Shoreham harbour at around 5.50am, the UK Coastguard said.
A Sussex Police spokesman said it was assisting the coastguard "after a man was pulled alive from the sea by fishermen just after dawn on Sunday".
He added: "It is believed that he was with three other men on a boat out of Brighton Marina.
"The body of one man has been recovered from the sea and brought ashore by Coastguard helicopter.
The force spokesman added: "It is thought that the boat may have left Brighton Marina around midnight and the incident may have happened a couple of hours later, but the facts are not clear at this time."
The body of the dead man was found at around 8.15am.
An investigation involving the Marine Accident Investigation Branch has been launched
